Burger chain Burgerim, other concepts to debut at Boardwalk at Town Lake

The Boardwalk at Towne Lake is excited to announce a variety of new retailers to its masterfully-designed waterfront development, including: a gourmet mini-burger restaurant from Israel, Burgerim; accessories boutique, The Royal Standard; a much anticipated breakfast restaurant, Breakfast Brunch Café; and the real estate offices of Key Harbor.

The first gourmet “mini burger” concept, Burgerim delivers eight-ounces of freshly-ground meat into mini-burger patties, slightly larger than traditional sliders. Taking an “always more than one” approach, the restaurant sells gourmet burgers by the pack, with over 100 unique variations. The restaurant offers three different bun options, six sauces, 11 types of patties and nine toppings, including vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. Franchise owner, Guillermo "Willie" Linares, a Cypress resident, decided almost immediately on The Boardwalk at Towne Lake for the location of his exotic gourmet burger restaurant, opening in Fall 2016.

“I believe that The Boardwalk is a unique addition to Cy-Fair, and I really felt like it would be the perfect home for our creative restaurant. As the first location in Texas and the second in the U.S. after Los Angeles, Burgerim is something that the Cypress-area has been waiting for” said Linares. “Caldwell Companies is doing a great job selecting the right retailers to attract both shoppers and diners, and I know that Burgerim will be a great addition to the mix.”

To complement its diverse assortment of restaurant and retail options, The Boardwalk has added a fashion retail boutique to the lineup. The Royal Standard will open its first Houston-area brick and mortar store at The Boardwalk at Towne Lake in early fall. Founded by Mark and Krista Pierce in 1998, The Royal Standard offers customers a wide variety of accessories for them and their homes, with products ranging from clothing and fashion accessories to home linens and rugs.

“We have been coming to Houston for years as loyal vendors of the Nutcracker Market and have been waiting for the right opportunity to open a retail location in the area,” said Mark Pierce. “We understand that our target audience is rarely going to a traditional shopping mall anymore and is instead looking for an experience to live/work/play, which is exactly what the Boardwalk at Towne Lake offers. We are excited to be among other great retailers and restaurants and to offer a convenient experience to our customers, in an environment they enjoy and prefer.

Although there’s no shortage of lunch and dinner options at The Boardwalk, Breakfast Brunch Café is filling the demand for a much needed breakfast spot in the Cypress area. With a variety of savory and sweet plates, the casual, family-style restaurant will deliver a comfortable atmosphere and breakfast, lunch and dinner options that appeal to all ages.

Key Harbor Properties is a Texas real estate firm opening their first location in September at the Boardwalk at Towne Lake. As a business centered on the concepts of family and leisure, founder Cindy Baker found the commercial and executive suites to be what she needed to help facilitate her goals of opening a professional, yet fun, office.

“I want to focus Key Harbor Properties around family, leisure and openness. I was really impressed by the elegance within the business community, and the unusual amount of green space that made the business space feel more welcoming and comfortable than the other spaces I had previously seen,” said Baker. “It’s a perfect setting for hosting clients and keeping employees productive, which really coincided with my ideal office atmosphere!”
