More Retailers Jumping On Board

More retailers are jumping on board Caldwell Companies exciting mixed-use development, The Boardwalk at Towne Lake.  Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee Co., a coffee shop and bakery; World of Beer, a tavern with a craft beer focus; and Massage Heights, a massage and skin therapy provider, are the newest wave of tenants to sign leases at this premier destination in Northwest Houston.

The Boardwalk at Towne Lake is a masterfully designed lakeside development offering restaurant, retail and recreational spaces accessible by walking, driving and boating.  These three new retailers join Texas Children’s Pediatrics, Copper Creek Orthodontics, and restaurants Jaxton’s and Taisho, in providing a variety of retail, restaurant, and business options to the 3,000 residents of Towne Lake and the surrounding Cypress community. This vibrant space, located in a convenient and booming location, is unlike anything else available and provides the perfect place to “tie up and unwind.”

Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee Co., founded in 2005 by Jonathan Golden, is the first of its kind in Texas and only the second of the company’s stores outside of its home state of Georgia. Golden began his company around the commitment to pay Rwandan farmers a fair wage for their coffee, a decision that still leads the company. Today, Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee Co. connects with farmers and community leaders to ensure that their coffee helps meet the needs of the people by providing a just wage in the countries from which it is harvested.

Franchise owner Melinda Bodukoglu, a resident of Towne Lake, decided to open Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee Co. along with her husband as a way of doing something that connected her to the community they love.

“Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee Co. isn’t just a coffee shop,” Bodukoglu said. “Not only will we offer desserts and baked goods like pastries, cakes, scones, cupcakes and pies handmade from scratch daily, but we’ll do so in an environment that promotes green living – utilizing collaborative trade, fair prices and recycled products.”

World of Beer, which unites more than 550 available varieties of craft beer with “tavern fare,” craft spirits and live entertainment, is the second of the growing franchise to make its home in the Houston-area. Not only does World of Beer offer a vast selection of craft beers, but its knowledgeable staff is trained to give advice to ensure the customer finds exactly the beverage they are looking for, creating an enjoyable beer-driven experience unlike anything else.

The third of The Boardwalk’s newest additions, Massage Heights, is a familiar face in Houston that cares for the mind, body and spirit of its customers through customized massages, facials and other therapeutic services. Massage Heights’ strategic partner Travis Ochoa, himself a future resident of Towne Lake, is excited about the Boardwalk at Towne Lake’s unique space and the opportunity to be able to reach both the residents of Towne Lake and Cypress.

“This new location in Towne Lake is going to be the first Massage Heights location in the country to debut our new ‘2.0’ look,” Ochoa said. “We’re upping the relaxing retreat feel so when customers visit us it won’t feel like they’re checking into a clinic, but rather are being welcomed into a warm and inviting lounge. The Boardwalk’s unique combination of businesses and lifestyle makes it the perfect fit and we couldn’t be happier to be a part of this booming location.”

“Not only are businesses across Houston expanding to meet the needs of the residents in Cypress, but businesses across the United States are deciding to make The Boardwalk at Towne Lake their first home as they make their way into the growing Houston community,” said Fred Caldwell, President and CEO of Caldwell Companies.  “The excitement for this development is at an all-time high and Caldwell Companies is thrilled to be a part of creating a memorable place where residents can live, work and play.”

Located on Houston’s largest private lake and in the midst of Towne Lake, an award-winning 2,400-acre community “connected by water,” the Boardwalk at Towne Lake creates an alluring space for everyone. From diners, shoppers and families looking for entertainment, to medical professionals and boutique owners, the Cy-Fair community is anxiously awaiting the opening of this unique land and water-accessible site.
