Three New Leases Signed at Boardwalk
Tenants are Drawn to Northwest Houston’s Newest Retail, Office and Dining Project
HOUSTON (August 10, 2015) - Caldwell Companies is excited to announce that three new tenants have signed leases at The Boardwalk at Towne Lake including Jaxton’s, Taisho and Copper Creek Orthodontists.
The Boardwalk at Towne Lake meets the desire of the 3,000 residents of Towne Lake and the underserved Cypress residents by offering a 150,000-square-foot waterfront development with a wide range of opportunities for a variety of tenants. Accessible by walking, driving or boating, The Boardwalk at Towne Lake will provide an array of retail, restaurants and office spaces, across four large buildings.
“To create a remarkable place where people can live, work and play is always a goal of Caldwell Companies to meet the demands of our residents, ” said Fred Caldwell, president and CEO of Caldwell Companies. “We are excited and overwhelmed by the demand we are already seeing from tenants around the Houston area to bring their concepts to the development, and to serve the Cypress community.”
The maître d’ at Tony’s Restaurant for the last eight years, Jason Howard, will be creating a new restaurant concept, Jaxton’s that will combine his French background, learned Italian experience and passion for Cypress as a life-long resident. This contemporary American restaurant will offer classic, upscale, comfort food including unique crepe combinations, wood-fired pizzas and more.
“As a Cypress resident, I was tired of always having to drive so far, or having to take an expensive cab, to go out for a great dinner,” said Howard. “As a consumer, I was very attracted to the idea of being able to ‘play’ in my backyard and knew that I couldn’t be the only one thinking this way. When I learned about the lease opportunity with a patio on the common green and along the lake at The Boardwalk at Towne Lake, it didn’t take much convincing at all. The property is beautiful and it will be the perfect home for this new concept, named after my four-year-old son.”
Taisho, a Japanese establishment that specializes in the hibachi and teppanykai style of cooking, owned by the same team who has opened eleven Shogun Grill restaurants around Texas, is opening its second location in The Boardwalk at Towne Lake. Additionally, Copper Creek Orthodontist has been serving the Northwest Houston community for over 15 years and will be relocating to a second floor medical office in The Boardwalk at Towne Lake, set to open Spring 2015.
“As a resident of Towne Lake for several years, I appreciate Caldwell Companies' vision and commitment to creating this outstanding community and am looking forward to relocating my existing practice from Highway 6 North to the Towne Lake Boardwalk,” said Dr. Virginia Noriega, DMD, MS, owner of Copper Creek Orthodontics. “The practice will move closer to our current patients, and allow us to be more centrally-located to meet the demands from our community.”
The 40,000 square feet of waterfront office space and 60,000 square feet of retail space overlooking Houston’s largest private lake creates an alluring space for diners, shoppers, families looking for entertainment, professionals and the medical community, all able to uniquely accessible by both land and water.
Leasing for The Boardwalk at Towne Lake is underway and commercial spaces are available; interested parties should call Sonny Howard at 281.664.6687.
